Just a taste of Making Pottery
We offer a flexible class schedule based on your and the studio’s availability. Available times are often limited to weekend mornings or evenings. You must be in contact at least 1 week in advance to book a private class. We can welcome up to 6 people for throwing, or up to 9 people for a mix of throwing and hand building. A deposit is required in advance in order to book the time and space in the studio, and to be sure we are well prepared to offer you an experience you will never forget!
Students will be able to explore the making part of the pottery process, and at the end of their class choose from our exceptional range of studio glazes. A technician will require up to 6 weeks to finish the pieces before they’ll be ready to pick up. -
Our popular 3 week introduction to Pottery Class is tailored to the complete beginner. We offer this class to help students discover the best parts of the pottery process.
Classes are scheduled Saturday Morning and Sunday Evening. You will learn how to build pottery using your hands, how to throw using the potters wheel, and a few techniques to decorate the pieces using our extensive line of studio glazes.
Students can expect to make up to 5 pieces to take home. Finished work will be available 3 to 4 weeks after the end of classes. -
Our 7 week class is tailored for all levels. We offer 5 weeks of creative time to make pieces with wet clay and 2 weeks of decoration to personalize the pieces further.
Students will see the entire process of making pottery from wedging or preparing the clay, making pieces, trimming to refine the work, and texturing all the way to the finished product.
Classes are scheduled through the week either in the afternoon from 1 to 4 or in the evening from 6:30 to 9:30.
