Open Studio
We offer three options for Open Studio. Potters are encouraged to drop-in to see if a space is available any time during open hours. You can also book ahead and organize your schedule with the help of our online booking system.
Open Studio is for individual practice only. A teacher will not be available for coaching.
Option 1 - Student Practice Time
Students registered in our 7-week class may, after having attended 3 classes, access to the studio for practice up to 3 hours per week during open hours.
Option 2 - Drop-In Open Studio
Ideal for clients wishing to practice without registering as a member or student, this option is tailored to individuals with prior knowledge who want to pass some time in meditation, or miss the craft, but don’t have time for a bigger subscription.
The session costs 45$ +tx when booking online or in person for up to 3 hours at a time during open hours. Use of tools and an available wheel is included. Clay, storage space, glazes and firing are not included, but can be purchased in the shop, depending on your needs.
New clients must demonstrate prior experience in at least one of the following ways:
A reference letter from a teacher.
Present photos of finished work and answer additional questions.
Have taken a class at Céramique Centrale in the past.
New clients should also expect a 15-minute orientation discussion during the first appointment.
Option 3 - Member Open Studio
This option is for registered monthly members at Céramique Centrale. If you're interested in becoming a member, please contact us for more information, and to arrange to meet in person.
Memberships are available for $200 per month.
Members will be provided:
Limited space to keep their work.
Unlimited Member Open Studio Bookings during open hours.
Access to the shop outside open hours.
Access to the fridge to store your packed lunch and drinks.
**Clay, Glazes and Firing are not included.
When booking, if the time period you want is not available, please add notes to your request in order to indicate your preferred start time if it’s different from the periods suggested.
